If that is the GH 28 that was for sale about 6 months ago - the Del Grego skeet gun - you are one lucky person. I was about to scrounge together the money to get it and then it was gone.

That is the one. I sent it to DelGrego and found records that shows it was restocked by Larrys Grandfather in mid 70's and Larry stated it was always a GH. Engraving by Runge. Barrel was cut o 24" at some point but there is still .004 in the Left barrel and .007 in the right. I sent the barrel to JJ Roberts and had the lettering that was messed up fixd. I havehad it out 3 or 4 times for Mearns quail and any concerns about how it would swing and balance was layed to rest. Gun was ordered by duBray for a W Wagner of Washington DC in 1905. Letter states it as a VH 28 capped pistol grip with Vulcan steel barrels. There is a note that is hand written that states "new frame" not sure what this means but some mystery surrounds this gun

Thank you Dean I did not know who W Wagner was until I did a name search on past postings after reading your comment. If anyone has information on W Wagner I would enjoy reading it.
Charlie you are welcome again any time.
