The 14 on the right barrel flat is the superscript of the weight stamp; 2 lbs 14oz.
The 15 on the left barrel flat is an inspection mark. |

Thanks Edgar, I missed that... Odd than the OP posted those without anything to support it other than a previous picture...
But then he's looking for information and I didn't take that into account. .

I have the same gun in a D grade , same round knob, checkered butt , ejectors . It is a rare gun and makes a great woods grouse gun. This is definitely a special order and a research letter would be illuminating. Mine was a Christmas gift to a young woman in South Carolina then went with her to Halifax NS when she married . I bought it out of Canada.
This gun would be in demand. |
