I picked up an extremely nice Fox Sterlingworth 20 gauge with ejectors. Committed to it prior and did the deal at Ernie's.

Picked up a very functional MEC 12 gauge Grabber that I committed to prior to the event.

Possibly another Fox in the works that was there.

Jim, here's an extra pic taken for that "22 Shotgun" article I have pending. Shot with a Model 510 Remington smoothbore, same as your gun at 11 yards and with a Federal crimped so-called birdshot shell as you got from me while at HH.

I had a great, but expensive (for me) weekend. Was finally able scratch the SBT itch with a really nice Fox J. And to make it even better I ran into a fellow member with a super high condition Grade 4 Nick. After some groveling on my part I was able to convince him to sell it to me. It is now on its way to me FFL. To top off the trip I hit Josh's tables and made a deal on a very nice Baker straight grip Pargon. May not be considered a highly desirable collector, but it is in very good reconditioned condition, has great dimensions, and perfect chokes for a mid range pheasant gun. And the engraving, in my opinion, is top notch. I think the engraving on Bakers, especially the dogs, is very underrated. Overall, I was a very happy camper and had a smile on my face the whole drive home.

Ladies and gentlemen be careful in your posts about transactions which may raise concerns about transaction procedure. They may be watching!

Hi Bob
I apologize if my description of my Nick acquisition was misleading. What I meant is that i was shown a beautiful Nick Grade 4 in the parking lot and was able to beg and plead and finally convince the owner to sell me the gun. A deal was struck, and then the fun began. Long story short, the gun is being shipped to my FFL here in CT and I hope to actually have it in my hands next week. There was no back stage unofficial transfers from one back seat to another. Everything was conducted above board. I will say that my experiences with gun purchases this past weekend has convinced me to look into getting a C&R license. It would have made the whole process a lot easier.

Shot the Grade 2 I got from "The Lowensteiner Collection" tonight , two rounds of 5-stand and a round of skeet . Gun certainly knocks the fire and everything else out of the clay targets when I do my part

Congrats Russ! A VHE skeet 28 gauge is a tough find!
