The only difference is the size of the snap cap pockets. All other measurements are the same.

I've got two 28-ga. Repros and one 20-ga. Repro, the 20-ga. snap caps fit snugly in the 28-ga. cases--just as they do in the 20-ga. case. There's a little play with the 28-ga. snap caps in all three of the cases. Mine are all dimensionally the same--except for length.

I probably have both sizes of cases, but I have never compared them. My only Repro is a 28.

I went back and compared my cases. The difference is the 20ga is for 28" bbls and the 28ga is 26" bbls

Just bought a 2 barrel Repro case with cover in excellent condition for $300. A good deal I'd say

When the closeout was in place, cases as well as guns were offered for sale. We bought them because they looked like Abercrombie and Fitch VC cases. They fit smallbore guns just fine. Ithaca Classic Doubles cases were also available empty. They also work well with other guns.

I would agree with the cases being highly desirable to collectors. I have tried to obtain one for each repro that I have.
