There is a pending law in NYS to limit ammo purchases of all types to 80 rounds per month when the ammo background system goes live. If that passes This will kill the shooting sports in NYS. If this happens it will be the straw that breaks my back, I'm moving south.
Sorry to hear about this Craig. When I read such ridiculous laws that do absolutely nothing to prevent crime, I think how fortunate that I am to live in the 603!

As I’d written previously this side step happened 3X now when a PA Dealer did 4473’s for NY residents who drove to PA for guns I had for sale. I was told it also applies to Dealers doing 4473 approvals for residents of other states but I don’t know that for a fact.

It's not a NYS agent that the check is turned over to. When we run a mandated check on the PICS system, a non-resident buyer check is kicked over to an operator. Therefore we wait until an operator is available, then we have to give them the out-of-state-buyer info and wait again as they do the check. I have had to wait up to 90-100 minutes on hold until final approval of the sale. If the check takes too long and you hang up you still have to pay the fee as all dealer info is punched into the system first, before it kicks over to the sale.

Our County Sheriff is a great guy and totally pro-2nd Amendment. He personally called every dealer in our County and told them to be wary of selling to NYS residents. He said we will be dragged into court in NYS by the AG if in any way the un-SAFE act is violated or any other draconian leftist anti-gun law is violated.

Ok. So this is a PA thing. PICS is a PA state system. We are not talking about the FBI NICS system.

No sir. We're under PICS. BTW, the hold music on the PICS system has been the same bad music for about 8 years!!
