My thanks to all..I will send pics as soon as I get back from Del Greco...
The gun now wears the PG stock that was put on gun in 1917 according to Parker records.
I have the original stock as well that was on gun in 1912 when it was shipped.
The original stock also has a cheek piece on it? No record of this in the letter.
No safety on gun..concave rib.
What do you suppose,a live bird shooter or a trap shooter was original owner?

Dean, both of the barrels are twelve bore, the one barrel is 31 and the other is 26 in. the rifled barrel has the following engraved on the rib "MFG for C.A. WINSHIP.PALMS. CALIFORNIA,BY PARKER BROS." I will try to get some pictures.

Very interesting. Is the rifled set rifled for the full length of the bores or just in the last four or five inches at the muzzles which would be the choke section on barrels bored for shot?

James, do you have a PGCA letter on the rifled CHE two barrel set?

Hi Doc.!!!

I'll post the pics for you - no problem at all..

Anyway - Here is Doc's Parker - and the pictures don't do it justice (thank Charlie!! ) and I can say that as I was there when Charlie was taking these pics (I was rummaging through the gun safe to see what else Doc had at the time - more on that later )....

John

Looks like a Parodox! Just makes you wonder it it went to Africa. Some of the Jungle guns had rifling the last 4" or so. Others had rifling that ran straight from the chamber until the last 2 1/2 or 3"s then took a twist. How is the rifling in this gun?
