Dick the gun rack maker does a nice job. I think it was Eric Eis who first told me about him. As I mentioned, I bought my first one in oak. The wood is that large grained oak of the Golden Oak era in furniture and he has a local source of native timber. The next one I had him make of tight grained cherry. He can use cherry, walnut, maple, etc, but he then had to procure that wood, takes a little longer and costs more. They are well made, disassemble flat, and you can swap sides so that the guns point left or right. A person can make their own, but for the price Dick charges, you get quality and I would have spent hours and hours on it.
