Thanks Harold! It is mine. We will have to try and get our schedules aligned.
Best to you.

Dean:

Beautiful gun and some of best photos I have seen on here yet depicting so well a gun’s exceptional features.

Father Kearney looks for all the world like a scion of the Muscular Christianity movement of the 19th Century. Its exemplars were described by T. C. Sanders in an article in the SATURDAY REVIEW, February 21, 1857, as “….a man who fears God and can walk a thousand miles in a thousand hours—who breathes God's free air on God's rich earth, and at the same time can hit a woodcock, doctor a horse, and twist a poker around his finger."

Dean,
I drive through Fulton everyday to get to work. If you need any further research or pictures of church/residence today I would be happy to help.

Don

And to make the world even smaller I work for the Diocese of Syracuse that the Rev. Kearney was a priest for.

Garry,
It may have to suffice that it is used on a driven bird shoot. You are my prime candidate to shoot pheasants with lighter ordinance though. Let me know when.

Don,
It might be fun to see if the Reverend's family tree is around. Maybe I can glean some extra stories. I suppose ancestry.com works as well as anything for that research. Thanks for the offer.

Where's the drool emoji when you need it?!

I can't help but marvel at all forms of fine grade composite barrels.
