the gents gun lever is at center when the gun is opened, so not a parker ,fox or Ithaca .

Dave is right about the Greener cross bolt with a small doll's head. The safety looks like a bumblebee type like on a Prussian Daly. I'm at a loss for the lady's gun, looks like a straight extension rib. Have we seen that gentleman before?

No question in my mind that these are solid citizens.

Everything is composed about the couple. The guns are open at the breach for the safety of all present; and the of the mien of the gent leads me to believe that I could trust him with my health, security, or money.

My guess is simple---they are both doubles !!! I hunted in the 40's & 50's , never dressed like that !!! Rather poor, but hunted with a Partker, that I still have.

But you weren't their age in the 40's and 50's. I'll say the 30's at the very earliest - no earlier though.
