I have heard nothing but great things about Jon's wall thickness gauge and I will also get the bore measurement gauge. I looked at his website and everything looks to be top notch quality. I think my passion for Parkers and vintage guns justifies that kind of investment. Yes you pay for a quality tool(s) but it reminds me of the saying: I'm too poor to buy cheap things

My Parker 10 and one of my 12ga guns both have oversized bores. I think you'll find many early Parkers have oversized bores. The 12 has .744 and the 10 I'm not sure of but I think it's up in the .800 range. The .729 standard didn't come into effect till after Parker was making guns for awhile.

A few of our late PGCA members were working on measuring and tabulating factory over bored guns, especially 10 fa. guns. I don’t know where the unfinished results of their research ended up.
