8 gauge / 20 gauge together

Wayne what year was the C 20 produced? I'm curious to the Titanic fluid steel barrels being original to the gun or did it originally have damascuss (those are unsafe you know) which were replaced by the factory.

Either way a wonderfull pair of Parkers. The little 20 hammer gun is only the second 20 I have seen pictures of.

Thanks Calvin. The length of the 8 gauge barrels is 34". I have always yearned for an 8 and watching the movie Appalossa finally put me over the edge. A letter on the gun should be in my mail box any day.

Richard. The 20 gauge was manufactured in 1905. It came from the factory with Titanic steel barrels.

Thank you Dean. I won't be attending the Banquet in September but will be in Vegas this January. Austin and Jeff are correct. I brought the 20 gauge to Vegas ten years ago when the PGCA had a booth. Let me know if you plan on attending.

Richard; TI4,TI5 and TI6 were the common fluid steel barrels for C,B,and A grade prior to around s/n 130000 when Acme became dominant.
There are few 20 ga exposed hammer guns but fewer appear in the record. Many exposed hammer guns are entered as hammerless; I have a 104000 lifter that is not identified as a lifter, and the big 32 inch hammer 12 that I brought to the "waterfowl' display at the annual meeting is stamped "PH" on the frame.

Wayne, Thank you but, regrettably, I probably will not get to Las Vegas. If I ever get to Las Vegas it would be ONLY for the gun show and to meet friends, old and new. All else there leaves me cold.

A 1905 production hammer gun has to be one of the last to leave Meridian. A very,very nice gun

If you had come up for air long enough at the Southern five years ago you would have realised that the hammer gun I was shooting was a 20 gauge. Despite the fact that you harrased me at every station for shooting at the small bore peg. Mark Conrad had the most beautiful hammered 20 gauge Parker there that year. I still have dreams about it.
