You're right Charlie. Once she's on my shoulder all that matter is the shot.

Angel thats a nice job of restocking. I have had several restocked and never regretted it as now I shoot them because they fit. I have several with the checkered butt & sometimes they will slip a little esp if you use the gun a lot (the Hollywood gun) and may need to have the butt recheckered in the future.
I have a 16ga lifter thats in the 13K serial range and she's short but i use a slip on pad. I have a VHE 16ga skeet that going to need to be restocked someday and it's good to see Brian's excellent work. Good on you for keeping the work in the PGCA family. |

Thanks Rich. I thougth it would be nice to give the business to a fellow PGCA member. When he becomes famous I can brag about having some of his early work

Angel,
Thanks for sharing the work that was done on your 16g. This was a great little gun to work on. And that 0 frame is light! This one has the milled out water table, by the way. The objective that Angel and I came to was to stock the gun in the exact style of the original, just in an approprate length and drop for Angel to shoot. Also, to put on a piece of wood that was approprate for the grade of gun. The checkered butt was Angel's suggestion when we were talking about what to do for a buttplate. The original steel one on that short stock was not very tall and would have possibly not looked right on a longer stock. Angel figured that if we had to do something different with the buttplate, then lets leave it wood.

I like the checkered butt and have restocked a CHE 20 with one. My current project has heel and toe plates, we will see how that turns out. I thought I'd try something different for a change.
