Charlie,

One 10 GA NH 30" #3 frame I have is stamped 5/4. Barells are .050 thick minimum. Gun weighs 9 pounds. I do not see how that gun could be a 3 frame 10 gauge and weigh that much or have barrels that weighed that much in 10 gauge. Something is not right with the frame size, barrel weight, or gauge in my humble opinion.

Glad to here that you got your gun Charlie. Sounds as though you may need a gun bearer.

An NH 10 is a great Parker for those of us who shoot our Parkers

I feel like I am waiting to hear about a baby being born. Are the stampings reported correct, is it an 8 gauge, is the frame bigger than 3, questions and more questions. I would be very anxious if I were you. Did you get this gun yet? We need a follow up!

Some Parkers are made very heavy for the gauge and frame size. This may be one of them. My #6 frame ten weighs more than 13 pounds, way heavier than it had to be. I mostly shoot it with 7/8 ounce 12 gauge shells. It doesn't kick much. My nine pound VH 16 isn't much of a kicker either.

I've seen a stamped 5 mistaken for a 3 when the stamp wasn't deep. Charlie, is the gauge stamped on the lug along with the frame size??
