Updated info for the Northern SxS Challenge.........

Ma Greenley's will once again be our official food vendor up in the pavilion!! Great food and great people!! 8)

The Comfort Inn and Hampton Inn will be host hotels again. They are 20 minutes south of us and so easy to get back and forth from. The Comfort Inn is providing rooms, king or doubles for $99/night.Please call them at 570-836-4100, tell them you are booking a room for the Rock Mountain Sporting Clays event. The Hampton Inn in Tunkhannock will give a room rate of $119.00/night for double queen or single king. They will do that special rate all year for anyone coming to Rock Mountain. The Hampton Inn can be reached at 570-996-5866.

For those looking to purchase RST Shells, they will once again take your shell orders and have them here for you in time for the shoot. Just call RST and place your order/ make payment and we'll have your shells on site.

We have some available vendor space for anyone who needs to move some merchandise. Please call the lodge for more info. 570-965-7625.

The trophies have arrived!! We will be posting some pics soon. We also have trophies for the AH Fox Big Bore and Small Bore Championships!!

We will be adding a fun rifle event, not double gun specific. Any rifle can be used. All targets under 140 yards. All steel, bang and clang targets!! No solid core bullets allowed please. We'll have this open after the Main clauys course is done for the day. Just pay $10 to bang away and have some fun.

Keep an eye and ear open for some change coming up for the 2018 event!!! Our goal is to accomodate more shooters and vendors!!!

We will once again be hosting a Shooter and Vendor Party on Saturday evening. Heavy hors d'ouvres will be served by Greenley's. The cost will be $10 head and we will need a head count no later than Thursday, Sept 14 please.


We will be adding another "trophy" event to the shoot. For all you fans of the classic Winchester model 12 and early Remington 870, we will have a "Classic Pump Gun" event. 50 birds shot on the prelim course. No gauge specific awards, a trophy for the HOA score. Shooting can be done Thursday through Saturday. 50 target event. Come on all you "shell shuckers", let's get it on!!

Clays carts will be avail;able for $65/day and must be paid when you reserve them. Carts must be reserved by September 7 please.

You need a double rifle event, you know charging elephant, angry cape buffalo and menacing lion.

We have 8 RV electric hook-ups, 3 are already reserved for the 4 day event. If you plan on bringing a motor home/camper, please get your reservation in soon as these spots fill up. Cost is $10/day just to cover the electric. THX.

Once again the Tunkhannock Boy Scouts Troop 518 will be here trapping/scoring for the event!! Please be sure to thank them for working the event. They are raising funds for their annual summer trip.

Who among us is going to this shoot? I have been giving some thought to going down to PA for a couple of days and wondering who might be there to shoot with.

Thanks Chuck, Scott and Bill are both in the middle of the construction of their houses. I'll be traveling solo, last I talked to Frank Cronin he was a maybe.
