I've killed several turkeys with a very high grade hammer damascus L.C. Smith, from the Quality era, but I've always loaded with black powder. It's messy, and keeps me from shooting a lot. I'm still shocked modern powder is being used in damascus guns, but it sure shines a light on a lot of ideas on guns I've allowed to slip through the shop here. I love the under lifter. The quality is just unreal. I hate the stock being cracked, but...I can restock it if I want. I hate the way it was refinished. Does anyone have a picture of what my stock should really look like? Thanks much, Jerry

Also, what do the numbers on the bottom of the barrels mean? And why are the lock plates engraved? Most 0 grades I've now viewed do not have engraving. I still can't get a good picture of a stock however. Jake
