Yes,it,s a checkered butt.and barrels are stamped 14 and 15.

The 14 on the right barrel flat is the superscript of the weight stamp; 2 lbs 14oz.
The 15 on the left barrel flat is an inspection mark.

I thank everyone for all the info on my shotgun.i am not planning on selling it.i love this old shotgun.it,s perfect for hunting birds and rabbits.thanks again guys.

I have the same gun in a D grade , same round knob, checkered butt , ejectors . It is a rare gun and makes a great woods grouse gun. This is definitely a special order and a research letter would be illuminating. Mine was a Christmas gift to a young woman in South Carolina then went with her to Halifax NS when she married . I bought it out of Canada.

This gun would be in demand.
