I took this DHE to Dan Cullity to inspect it and give me his opinion on whether or not the barrels are original to this gun. Dan said someone filed down the original serial nbrs and cut new ones to match the nbrs on the frame. And these barrels were not properly fitted to it. I am having Dan fit a nice set of 30 inch damascus barrels to it that i bought from a fellow pgca mbr. Dont plan to have Dan work on these bogus titanic barrels. Buyer beware.

Bill, the letter on this dhe indicated it had damascus barrels originally. Some time later some one put the 31 inch special steel barrels on it and recut serial numbers to match those on the frame. Thats the bogus part i was referring to. The fitting up of the replacement barrels was not even a very good fit.

The fitting of the 30 inch damascus barrels is complete. Dan Cullity does first rate work. The transition seam between the breech face of these barrels and the breech balls on the frame feels seamless to the touch. Ill post a few pics of this nice clean set of trukish star damascus barrels. The balance with these barrels is perfect in my hands. This DHE will be fun on pheasants and trap. Not sure if i will keep the 31 inch titanic steel barrels. They are fully functional but i really dont need this barrel length and since they are not original to this gun, i have no attachment to them. As soon as i get some pics of them i will post in the for sale section. I should add that Dan Cullity re-fitted the Titanic steel barrels to the frame on this DHE. Well done I would add again.
