To bad that Tony doesn't normally share the serial numbers on the guns he advertises unless you call. What's the latest on the recent ad and gun?

Tony sold it for about the same price he paid for it (which was still too little) ??

I don’t think Tony has his ear to the ground anymore…

The serial number is 202125 and the gun matches the factory card. No way to tell if its right without a careful inspection of the gun. My feeling is it has been recase colored and reblued. I'm very doubtful it's a real 20ga HE. Tony knows his Fox guns.

Hmmm… I didn’t consider it might have been faked when it was refreshed.

The RIA ad said the gun was upgraded and renumbered. The CSMC ad left out that information.

Whoever bought this out from under me saved me a lot of grief. Quote from RIA catalog:

"This gun has been upgraded and renumbered from its original Sterlingworth configuration to closely resemble a rare 20 gauge Super-Fox. Chambers measured 2 3/4" with ejectors, chokes measured full/full, and 14 1/8" LOP."

Fools rush in....

Is this the same gun that sold on Gunbroker last week? I had decided (in my own mind) that that gun was not a fake. It sold before I could call the seller and get him to measure the frame dimensions. I didn't realize until after the sale that the dimensions of an HE 20 gauge frame were different from a Sterlingworth 20 gauge frame.

I am pretty sure it is the same gun. Can't compare the serial numbers but he left side of the stock has a distinctive light colored vertical curl which looks to be present in the same place in both pictures.

Could someone explain what "re-numbered" means? Are we talking serial number??
