Paul,
Were various chokings offered with the CSMC barrels and were they so marked?

To the best of my knowledge the y were all provided as F/F and if you had Galazan fit them to your Repro you could have them choked to your specs. I ordered them to be shipped to me and they required very little fitting but I accepted them as Full in both barrels.

I forget the details of the ordering process and what was offered at the time.

I just looked at my Galazan barrels and they aren't marked/stamped for choking but measure R-.008" L-.024" and came from the factory that way.

My original Kieghoff set is Q-1 Q-2 I love that combination for most shooting but I wanted a tighter choking for mid to late season pheasants & the Galazan set fits those needs very well.

Paul, did you buy the gun with the Galazan barrels already fitted to your gun or did you send your gun to Galazan to have their barrels fitted?

I’ve attached a picture of the dolls head area with the barrels attached to the gun. Do you find the gaps objectionable?

I would not be happy with that!

Knowing they are aftermarket barrels ‘applied’ (not “fitted”) to a Repro, I wouldn’t have much to say. If you want a perfect fitment you need to specifically ask for it… and specifically pay for the perfect fitment.

I have had, over the years both the Krieghoff and Galazan barrels and I much preferred the original Krieghoff barrels. The dolls head on the Galazan barrels I had fitted very similar to the ones pictured here and that always bothered me.

I ordered the barrels and fit them myself.

There is a small gap at the dolls head similar to the pictures posted here, but that doesn't bother me knowing that these were aftermarket barrels, and I was adding them to make the gun a more universal shooter. The two original sets don't have the gap at the dolls head.

In regards to the choking CSMC offered for their 16ga. Repro barrels the advertisements I have show only M/F, perhaps they offered other chokings as well.
