It’s certainly not the norm but we see such anomalies from time to time.
That engraver probably got scolded. .

Perhaps he had just finished a "G" and 'forgot' that this one was not to be that grade. Then straightened it out immediately instead of putting Parker on a slight radius. Certainly didn't hide it by then.

I mistook the .410 sculpting for a scratch. I took another look and can see it now. I guess I should know better.
