They're thinking; "what a great commission this will be if it sells for that"

Let's see. If the gun sells for $55,000, a good possibility considering there aren't many if any left in that configuration or condition, a 15% seller's commission would be $8250.00. The buyer's premium, if 20%, on the selling price would be $11,000. The seller would get $46,750. The buyer would pay $66,000. The auction house would make $20,750.00 for selling this gun. This makes the DH 8 sold recently on this site a good deal for the seller. Correction, it makes the DH sold on this site what is known as a "No Brainer". If my math is off, please feel free to correct me.

Theres a PH 8 gauge listed on GI the seller is asking more for it than what that DH 8 gauge sold for . Seems like 8 gauge prices are pretty sporadic .
I'm surprised as many of you have seen this gun displayed at a couple of PGCA events, once at Hausman's in the Parker booth and once at the annual meeting with a display of waterfowl Parkers. The D grade 8 ga is extremely high condition all original with a flat rib, it's one of one. I sold the whole D grade collection to one buyer six or seven years ago and yes Steve brokered the deal.

And to think I passed on a $7K 8ga at a Michigan gunshow some years back.... that Eric Eis then Puglisi ended up with, I think.
