I've never had a Parker with a checkered butt, and they really aren't my thing, but(t) from those I've seen, there seems to be a style harmony with the wrist checkering. The one Reggie shows doesn't remind me of any grade wrist checkering on a Parker.

To my eyes the butt in question shows a kinship to some of the beavertail checkering patterns of DHE and above.

The bottom looks parker-esque, but the top looks straight from outer space. Very different.
