They roll crimp easy enough, I need to lube the crimper a little bit.
The Fiocchi case heads must be easy enough to buy across the pond as they list them in their catalog for 1200 hulls in a bag for the 8 gauge. Tom mentions in his book that Alan Myers had gotten Fiocchi to make a small run of 4.5" 8 gauge magnum cases.

There's just something nice about a paper shotshell. I know one guy who uses these loaded up with bismuth or tungsten matrix in his 4 1/4" chambered 8 bore double for wildfowl. I think you could fit alot of cushion wadding in the 4 1/4" case even with heavy loads about 4 or 5 cushion wads by my count with 2 1/4oz of lead.

I know of one that sells a kit to make your own paper 10 ga hulls. These 8 bore paper cases look like they somehow disassemble the Fiocchi factory cases and replace the plastic tube with a paper one as they look to retain the factory base wad. The tubes themselves must be machined made as they look pretty flawless and consistent hull from hull and are smooth.

I have seen some interesting homemade paper hulls but seems the paper quality is always a bit off with those. With a good quality case head you would think you could reuse the case head and replace the tubes as needed.

I think the Bird Sheriff will get you for shooting the King's ducks with an 8 ga. I think the Fed outlawed anything bigger than a 10 for migratory birds about the end of WWI. I know that's an issue here in Texas.

Charlie are these loaded with the old 57 primer? Could probably modify them to use 209s I have seen it done with hulls that use pistol primers. I dont think I could resist not loading them haha. Though those unopened Arrow hulls are probably worth some money.

Im waiting to hear back on a 8 ga wad punch, id like to be able to make some retro style overshot cards.

The 8s are still legal across the pond though they are phasing out lead and pretty much all plastics well non organic plastics etc. If you really wanted to you can take a 8 gauge over with you to use it on wildfowl.

We still have plenty here in GA the 8 ga is legal for all small game and varmints and non native species etc.
