These are my two 28 ga Repros. The SG, SFE is choked imp/mod with 26" barrels while the PG, BTFE is choked Q1/Q2 with 26" barrels.
Well, I've got to be honest - the PG BTFE is the gun I bought for Kathy but (shhhh, don't tell Kathy) I shoot it at skeet and have really grown to covet it. I'm really going to miss it after I replace the stock to one that fits her better. Last edited by Dean Romig; 07-30-2009 at 11:47 PM.. |

You got two gorgeous ones, Dean. Years ago I owned a 2 bbl 20 ga Repro set with the most eye-poppingly beautiful piece of dark, heavily burled wood I have ever seen. Sold it to buy a Beretta, which I love, but I wish I still had that Parker. They did put some great wood on some of those Reproductions! This pic is of my 28 ga DT/PG/BT/26" Q1,Q2 Repro, which I've since refinished with oil. I'll try to take a pic (the one I have now is too big to post) in order to show just what an incredible improvement refinishing those guns to oil makes.

Here's the wood on my Sporting Clays model, its kind of a "marble cake style" almost too knotty in my opinion.

Some can be very plain. Here's the wood on a double trigger 12 that I sold and wish I hadn't.

Dave, that's what is known as 'burl' and is desirable as long as it isn't in the wrist area.

The first two pictures are a B, the third and fourth are C's. The first C was initially sold to Tryon in Philadelphia. The B and the last C are western guns from the start and have always been out here. Every once in a while we can find a good gun out here on the plains.

CHE 16
Here are two pics of the wood on my all original CHE 16. The wood is just as dark as these pictures show.
