So it looks like the flights came in behind me as I was not able to get to hunting camp this last weekend in VT's NEK and now it's time to hang up the Parkers and get out the ol' .270 Ruger No. 1 for them wiley whitetails....

.
Dean, the colors are not original. I had them redone and the wood refinished as well. I am happy with the colors. I'd bet if you had some local covers at home now would be the time to visit them.

Thanks but I never hunt Massachusetts since I got married in '70.

Fantastic photos. Who made the dogs chest protector? Looks like a great product. My girl’s last one shredded out. I need a replacement. Thanks.

Jeff,
The better of the protectors that are pictured is the premium model from LCS-Lion Country Supply. I just a Slymar vest as well from gun dog supply. Seems nice as well but the fit isn't as good as the LCS one.

I'll keep an eye out for you Steve. I have not seen any signs of other upland hunters at this honey hole. Only deer hunters. I've actually kicked up a nice buck here before and moved a bear within 15 yards from my dog and they never saw it

Ya...but I lived in NH for 50+ years. I hunted the central part of the state late in the season and would spend the first part up north.
I may be wrong but the hills in the background have a familiar signature... (:

Thanks for posting those photos! They are great - look forward to more in the future!
