George, I think that is a great idea. I hope it somehow comes to fruition.

I have the original stock it's uncut, has the original skeleton steel butt plate. Stock was broken and repaired at the wrist. Great piece of wood if you have the gun, I'm sure this can be restored. According to the book it's from a DHE with factory single trigger.

Default 30" Titanic barrels

Talk about a DUH! moment, I pulled out a DHE 12 that was in the back of the safe to make room for the guns I just cleaned from a recent hunting trip. Well to my surprise I noticed that the forend lug and forend iron were both stamped with a 2. Hmmm.... went to my letter from 2007 and the gun left the factory with 30" barrels, so the current barrels which are 28" must have been added later. Never noticed this in the 10 or so years I've had this gun, no mention of them in the letter.

So I'm looking for 30" barrels and forend for 198638.

Thanks for looking.

Default 28" 20ga damascus barrels

I am desperately looking for a set of 20ga 28 inch damascus barrels, "0" frame with ejectors. I would love to find the originals, serial number 84040 but any other 20ga 28" damascus "0" frame set will work even if extractor.
Thanks, David

Default 16 gauge O frame damascus barrels

Please someone out there must have a set of 30' 16 gauge O frame Damascus barrels, the gun is an ejector gun but I'll take a extractor set. My gun started life as a 16 ga on an O frame and was sent back to Remington to be fitted with 20 and 28 ga fluid steel barrels, I think Remington destroyed the 16 ga barrels Eric

Most likely Remington, Lefever, and any other business that replaced Damascus barrels with fluid steel barrels destroyed or scrapped the originals.... They were Dangerous!!
