Well saturday was a "Rain Out" !

Looks like monday will be a 270 WIN day and either my Ithaca 10 gauge with buck or the Kerner 16-16-7x57R drilling loaded with buck and ball .

Oh yeah pictures are not an option for awhile as Photobucket says me account is filled . Starge they told me I was 90% full a week ago and I've deleted 300 pictures from my account and they now say my bandwidth is 100% full . Seems deleting almost half increased the total as I've not added anything since I recieved their email !

For the last 5 years I've had more months to hunt ina calender year then I have that are hunting free !

And thats just for large game species (IE deer , bear , piggies).

Actually if I pursued piggies here in Virginia I could hunt them ALL YEAR in the county adjacent to mine !

By the time I get everything recleaned and put away after hunting season it's about time to get the unblooded ones back out and check the sight in's for the next DCP season !

My best year to date was 20 deer about 8 years ago . I'd like to hit 21 this year for a new personal record as I don't think I have to many more years I'm going to be willing to go at it that hard !

Dunno but I got 3 this evening with my Ruger #1B in 270 WIN . Shot one with the Combined Technology 130 Ballistic Silvertip and 55 grains IMR4350 , and then shot the last two with the same rifle and the Nosler 130 BT and again 55 grains of IMR4350 !

If I'm not mistaken 15 puts me at present in a tie for my 3rd best season . My best was 20 and second best was 17 . Since actual hunting season hasn't opened yet I think I'm in good shape !

Got my muzlleloader and shotgun permits for the Blackwater NWR and an invite from a friend at Allens Fresh (Charles County) Maryland for the antlerless early muzzle loader season .

Also a fellow I've been selling some stuff for asked me again today if I was still planning to come up to his place to get a bear and of course me not wanting to hurt his feelings said SURE !

So if I can keep up the pace I'm sure my harvest will increase . But if it doesn't I've already had a very very good year !

Have my fathers Ruger #1B 243 WIN with a Leupold Vari XIII 3.5-10AO out to take this evening . Am also debating in my head whether to carry along my ithaca NID 10 gauge , the Kerner drilling or a Franz Kettner 16 gauge side by .The Ithaca's downstairs in the case with a stock boot and sheels on it so more then likely that'll go with me !

The place I'm going this evening will probably be to long for a good buckshot shot but I'll carry one anyway !

I got 10 pounds of single 0 Buck yesterday , so hopefully this weekend I can get maybe 2 dozen shells loaded with it and can pattern all my classic 12 gauge guns . Well atleast a pair of Parker V grades , pair of LC's and a pair of Sterlingworths !
