Unreal nice. My favorite engraving on a Parker yet.

From what I can find, the first gun is serial number 143556. According to the Identification and Serialization book that gun is a W8, which is an A-1 Special 16 ga with 30 inch Whitworth
barrels and made in 1907.
I agree, that sculpting on the bottom of the second gun is very unique and was probably done to accommodate the engraving style.

143556 is the 11th A-1 built. The first 16 ga. Second one is also a 16 ga. 30 in. ejector gun. It is a V grade with Pachmayer embellishments. Must be a pretty good job as no one picked on it and asked what it is. The real one came first so the second did something to make me pull the trigger.

Come on, James. I didn't think the second gun was a Parker and said so. I also said I couldn't read the serial number, and still can't. It's a pretty neat gun even though it isn't an original Parker. As you know, I will always recognize the great 16 gauge A-1.

Jim, Since everything down that way "flatlands" will be under water after the 21st of Dec you might want to bring those fine guns up here to the mountain to keep them dry. I can always make room. Gary

Lord help me as I like the Pachmayr better. I'm wish they had done more in that restrained style without all the gold that you usually see in their upgrades.
