The mention of a full comb would generally be in the order book. The stock books normally only give length and drop at heel dimensions. Sometimes the full comb is referred to as a "military comb", especially in A.H. Fox records.

It made my day to see the picture of the fat combed gun. I have a Remington 16 ga , #1 framed, striaght stocked VH. The stock is properly numbered under the trigger gaurd tang. Never seeing another like it sometimes made me wonder if the stock was original. Now I'm sure it is.

Here is an example of how DelGrego shaped the "nose of the comb" on his restocks. This particular Parker may not necessarily have been done by DelGrego but this is done in the same style.

I have a DHE 20 trap with the fat comb. All original, it's the first one I had seen stocked like that.

Yeah, I have one in now for restock that has the fat comb and that is why I was questioning it. First time I have seen it too.

I once had (and foolishly sold) a CHE Double Trap with the "trap" style of fat comb.
