I have one of those. I concluded that all they really check is how the chambers are pointed, not where the gun shoots.

Or how level or parallel to the barrel bore the rim is that seats the shell base. I guess even slight variances in shell construction can cock a shell in the chamber one way or another. I just found this fun and interesting as I was playing with my big boy toys. Kind of got the bug to get one to see how my 16 ga. VH falls out. It never ends |

Citori, did you expect that readers would think this was a legitimate testing tool as you implied in your first post until another poster exposed it as a POC? It appears you would have expected just that. What is someone did not expose it as a POC? Would you have left your post unedited or unexplained? Regardless of your intentions, it is a very interesting post with pictures which are just as interesting. Thanks.

Mike Stahle, I did not take it that you were trying to urge this method to the readership, but that you were merely reporting on your new toy, and perhaps even that you wanted feedback on what others thought about the laser boresight in shotguns.
I am no expert, but I have seen some interesting matters by just positioning the barrels on a steady support and looking down them centered to a point target and then comparing by sighting down the rib or bead. I do that when someone mentions to me that he thinks the gun shoots off, and while most of the time the barrels are dead on with the bead sight, sometimes they are off. I don't know what to do with a double when that happens, but with a single barrel, the barrel can be bent. Mike, may I invite you to join the PGCA ? You've been around a while. |

Thanks Mr. Day for the personal invite to join the PGCA.
But I must be honest, at this time I'm feeling a little hurt and wrongly judged. Time for my toys and I to move along. Blessings to all of you, Mike |

Mike, as I said, your post is very interesting and a closer look at the lazer would be even more interesting. Again, thanks for posting and putting up with my sarcasm. A lazer shotgun shooting tool is being exhibited and demonstrated at side by side events. Next time I see it, I will take a closer look.
