Our website is acting up for some odd reason. I was going to post a link to the "About Us" page which tells the whole story of the business and how it got started. It really is a great piece of history. Business has been right here in this same building since 1954.

I'm headin out for the day. I'll post up some pictures of the rib stamping and try to remember my calipers so I can check the chokes tomorrow and I'll post up.

Andy, Where is your shop? Sounds like you are close to New Kent or James City Cty.

Default 3" Trojan 12

Here's pic of my Trojan 12 I purchased from Tony G. 4 or 5 years ago for less than a grand (#2 below my VHE). The chambers had been lengthened to 3" and the chokes opened to IC and Mod, probably to make it useful with steel shot. It's the cleanest Trojan I have and a real bird whacker.

Hello everyone. This is my first post here just to note that I knew a gentleman that had a VH 12 ga. with 3 inch chambers. The story that he related about it was that he asked a gunsmith in Fredericksburg Virginia to lengthen the chambers and was advised not to. He told the gunsmith that it was his gun and a number 2 frame and he wanted it done. The gunsmith honored his request and he hunted with it for many years. I am not saying that I would do it to mine but I have thought about it.

There are at least two other members here on the BBS who have #2 frame guns with chambers let out to 3 inch. It's not uncommon, I'd think the recoil might be a bit brutal with heavy 3 inch loads but it did happen.
