Default South Dakota 2024

Brookings area; seven young(er) bucks and one old fart; four labs and one shepadoodle; four autos, three o/u's and one old side by side. Days 1,2,3 & 4; the last pic is with my two nephews and one great nephew. I didn't shoot particularly well; you gotta be quick with these boys and I'm, well, not anymore. Plus when you're relegated to mostly blocking and flanking (largely by choice) opportunities are somewhat diminished.

Well, Phil, it looks like you solved all your gun dilemmas, and represented our generation well.

Now, there’s bound to be a story in all this somewhere(?). I’m looking forward to it.

I shot my Philly Fox A Grade 16 (28") two days and Philly A Grade 20 (26") two days. Both accounted for wild prairie roosters shooting RST 2-1/2" 1oz. 6's and 7/8oz. 6's respectively. Splurged and bought a box of bismuth 20's previous to the trip and we never hunted in a non-tox region the whole time!

Phil,

Looks like you had decent weather. Any day in field beats sitting at home.
