Default Pirates first wild bird.

I have been training Pirate for the last 10 months on pen raised birds.
Today was opening day for quail in AZ.
It was also Pirates first real wild bird hunt. He was 2 years old with little to no training when I got him.
I am owner number 4.
He has come a long way and was able to find me 5 coveys today despite very heavy winds.
God willing I will try to get out with him several times a week until the season closes in February.
Having lost 4 great bird dogs in the last year and a half, Im hoping he will help me through the next few seasons as I rebuild my dog power.
( A deposit has already been placed for a female GSP puppy)
GSP’s are my wife's favorite breed and was part of the negotiations to ultimately end up with 3 Pointers.
