Default Pheasant Fest PGCA Booth

Pheasant Fest in Minneapolis is going on this weekend and the PGCA had a presence with a nice set up showing off some nice Parkers to the Pheasant Fest crowd. They were also busy selling raffle tickets for the Parker Gun Raffle. I visited with Bruce Day, Tom Wooden, Matt Hanson and Dean Hanson. Thanks to them and others that took the time to set up and man the booth this weekend.

It’s always very nice to see how those mentioned represent us all with their Parker displays.

We had over 30,000 attendees , most of whom came by the Parker booth and many came in . We had 33 Parkers on display from A grades to Trojans. Many want to talk about their family guns .

Next year third weekend in February Pheasant Fest will be in Sioux Falls SoDak . Sioux Falls is a very pleasant town and the convention center is perfect for us.

What we do is only exhibit guns to create and sustain interest in Parkers . We don’t sell or buy or anything with self interest . We brought in many new members and significant money through raffle ticket sales. We have 30x 10 300 sq ft of booth space and fill it with tables , gun racks and between 30-50 guns of all grades , configurations and condition. We like to have challenged guns that need work because show attendees might encounter such a gun and can see what could be done. We need knowledgeable people to work the booth and answer questions from the people that come by.

We have had A 1 S, to Trojans , many times it’s the best and biggest collection some people have seen. We hear stories about lost family guns and people wanting to know if they can still be shot. Modern gun make reps come by and wish their companies still made guns like these.

We have the raffle gun for the year and some years we showJohn Browning’s A grade .

Sioux Falls in Feb 2024 and we will need people to work the booth .

Being Wisconsin boys, hockey is in their blood. But Matt and Dean’s love of Parkers exceeds the enthusiasm those guys showed on the ice. Still one of my favorite movies of all time.

Does anybody know the grade and gauge of the bottom gun in picture 8? It looks to be a DHE or higher with a beautiful piece of wood-One of the better pieces that I have seen on any Parker.

A or B as indicated by the singular rib extension around the fence. Checkering pattern could be either A or B to my eye. Just my opinion....

The wing on the wrist checkering looks more exaggerated than that of a B so I’ll say AH.
