Default 410 barred 20 guage

Hi guys. Having looked the gun and barrel over I can say that it is NOT a Parker Reproduction 410 barrel. That gun started out as a 20 ga with a splinter forend. I don’t know the 20 ga barrel length that was originally on it. As several have mentioned the 410 barrel is a “Parker Gun Works” barrel. In my opinion if someone wants that for your gun I don’t see it as a collector added value. The wall thickness on the breach must be very thick to move the barrels to the center of the firing pin hole and to the edges of the frame so it fits. The engraved barrel wedge on the breach end I can not see. Hopefully Wayne will be happy with it. Good luck!!

That's why I wondered what the weight of the gun is. There was a set of barrels from the same manufacturer listed for sale on GI some time back, but they weren't fitted to a gun.

Default 410 barrel weight

Hi guys. I have a set of 410 barrels but don’t have a small enough scale. I’ll go into the office in the next few day and let you know what they weigh.

Interesting indeed. What does your gun weigh, Wayne?

I also believe the gun originally had a splinter forend. Parker Reproductions that came from the factory with a beavertail forend had jeweled (engine turned) forend metal on the barrel side.

Although I'd prefer to have them on a 28ga frame, I must say..I would love to have a set of .410 barrels properly fit to a 20ga!! And to have a btfe that fits the ensemble (even w/a splinter iron) to boot..pffft, count me in.

You have a very interesting (and desirable) Parker Repro, Wayne - congratulations on the find. I'd be looking to find me a splinter fe to complete the set if it was mine..just sayin'.
