I also believe the gun originally had a splinter forend. Parker Reproductions that came from the factory with a beavertail forend had jeweled (engine turned) forend metal on the barrel side.

Although I'd prefer to have them on a 28ga frame, I must say..I would love to have a set of .410 barrels properly fit to a 20ga!! And to have a btfe that fits the ensemble (even w/a splinter iron) to boot..pffft, count me in.
You have a very interesting (and desirable) Parker Repro, Wayne - congratulations on the find. I'd be looking to find me a splinter fe to complete the set if it was mine..just sayin'. |
