still in the Leica with only a couple of quick frames taken on a new roll (I planned to shoot a BW and a color roll but the storm said "oh no you don't" I am not sure they will be that good, the light was dark and flat, not the golden hour evening glow every photographer hopes for. And being a well attended special event, I wasn't about to get out a light, stand and modifier set up to as I normally would just to get poured on this time. we can always go back on a nice quiet day. the airfield is not far IF the shots turn out and IF she approves the prints - I'll post one, the outfit is original to the period

here you go Dean- she is wearing an original vintage 1940's dress and hat (that's also an original beaded handbag tucked under her arm) and she is holding her Father's Ziess folding camera

In my first post on this thread I had made mention of the C-47 on floats in Greenville, Maine on Moosehead Lake.
I just saw this and thought I would share it here... https://www.google.com/search?q=dc3+...id:pJ6zTZuq5zw .

Nice pictures Rick. Great video Dean.
My first airplane ride was in a Flying Tigers Airline DC3 in December of 1954 from Baltimore to Chicago. From Navy boot camp to A School at Great Lakes Naval Training Center. And further, my Navy enlistment started exactly 69 years ago today - August 24th, 1954. Yeah, nice pictures and video. Thanks for posting them. Bill |
