Four have come my way. All 20 gauge guns. Two 20s have found a new home.

It’s been about 8 months since I adopted my first Parker, a 20 GHE and she now has a family that includes a DH and GH 12’s, DHE,GH and VH 16’s and a VH 28. Some new cousins include an NID 20, Flues 28 and Sterlingworth 16. Oh, and a Crass 10 we get to meet at Haussmanns.

Been slow. I was able to add a beautiful set of 28" 20 ga Twist barrels to my 16 ga TL hammer 16 Quality O hammer gun.

No new Parkers but a few "classics" in my mind. Sold a couple Parkers then acquired a classic Browning 1959 20, RNLT, a 20 and a 28 Perazzi. I did add a 30", 20ga. Fox A grade. Shooting a flat or more per week just puts a heavy strain on the old Parkers, Foxes and Lefevers to name a few. The Perazzi and the Browning can better handle the volume and if they break they are easily fixed.

"Shooting a flat or more per week"--no wonder you are such a good shot! I'm about 70 miles from sporting clays range, so dont get there too often.
I dont think you have shown us any pictures of that Fox 20 A 30". See you at Ernies.

Craig, I like the word "adopted." I've been adopted by two Parkers, an AHE and BHE and a collection of original Parker catalogs. The Boss says I'm done for the year...and maybe beyond.

So far I picked up 16ga Damascus GHE which has been a dream to shoot. Then a 410 VH which shoots way too good for a 410 and checks a Parker box I never thought I would be able to check. My wife says I am done for the year as well!
I would like to find a hammer 8 gauge so I could complete my Parker gauges(except for the 14 and 11). |
