| Round Knob Snob! |
|
|

|
I have narrowed my collecting focus to era with round knobs and stock cheeks!
This plays out in about the 1913-14 time period best I can tell from the catalogues and serial number charts. Even though the first catalogues with the flattened pistol grip also show stock cheeks, I have not seen an A grade example with both and no checkering. Sorry Craig I will break my promise! Lol One of the best examples I have come across is an 1908 RAS No. 2 (B) Grade that I picked up years ago. Enjoy, Will |

Will: I have one more 11 that came from Wards by way of Julia's a year or so ago, I'm sure you know the gun 98600. Still looking for a B and E Expert.

Sorry I was out of step with you.
Glad you picked up a nice one. I believe that one came out of Bob Creamer's collection. I'll keep an eye out! Will |

I’d talked myself into a pair of Model 11’s or A-5’s that were pre 1950. But I made a deal for something else Saturday and that’s gonna kill the gun buying for awhile . Well except maybe for a DH/DHE VH/VHE 20 gauge with 32” tight barrels snd shootable stock dimensions . Yeah I know famous last words , I’m not gonna buy any for awhile or only one more yadda yadda yadda .

Last one for the weekend.
From Leap Day, 1908 "American Field" magazine. This is a testament to John Browning's design and function. Double-gun reliability! Will |
