Default 1891 CH on GB:

Bernard steel barrels, checks out in the Serialization book. I can't speculate on the final hammer price, it will undoubtedly be above my head. Double triggers and nice CH furniture. It got my attention, though not a show stopper it never the less is a desirable one. We can find out what it brings in 13 days.

I can’t enlarge the letter and still retain any resolution. Does it mention original chokes or pellet counts?

That one doesn’t have much going for it except for the “looking back setter” on the right side.
Bottom ribs have vent holes drilled - not factory work. Hmmm…

Original barrel length is 28. Would not be surprised if the dealer’s choke measurements are not accurate.

No mention of chokes or pattern info in letter

It went back to factory twice! To take dents out, and the first time to refinish barrels.

Right Keavin but Parker Bros. would not have drilled those vent holes.

I look at that gun and just wonder how much shooting it took to make the wood look like that. This gun has had some serious amount of shooting. Gawd, don't you wish guns like this could talk and tell their story?!

And good looking wood too

As Dean mentioned though, those holes couldn’t be anything good

Some folks who drill vent holes drill tinier holes - I mean how big do they have to be to allow water vapor out?
Then they close them up with a bead of solder and finish over them so they are nearly invisible. That takes an attention to care and details.
