A few pictures I could find. Plus a nice tree I got instead of the turkey.

Parker SBT took him at 30 yards at 7:30 this AM. 1 1/4 oz of 7 1/2 stoned him. All the gobbling this AM and he came in w/o a sound. 4 1/8” beard, 1/4” spurs and 16 lbs. Smallest bird I’ve killed in a very long time but had to hunt hard for him. The SBT didn’t give him a chance.

I've never tried to shoot a turkey with a single barrel trap gun. So, do you have to call "PULL!" before you shoot?

Nice bird!

No gobbling because he was low man in the pecking order. Im sure that Jake has got its rear ended handed to him for mouthing off enough that he was smart enough to keep quiet.

I’ve hunted the last 8 out of the past 11 days. I have only seen one hen out of all my times and no Toms. In the last week and a half gobbling has slowed down on my WI property more and more to the point it has now basically stopped. I heard a Tom gobble 3 times at 5:48 am this morning and not one gobble after that. I hunted till 12:30pm. I did hear a shot miles away in the same direction of the Tom I heard around 7am. I’m guessing they are at the end of the breeding here. It would make sense since our Spring warm up was about a month and a half early this year. IMO the warm up got them off to an early start. I was out trapping nuisance varmints off my property a week and half before first season and the Toms were gobbling pretty steady. Tuesday will start our 6th ,and final, one week season. I haven’t given up yet but I’ll be surprised of I fill another tag. If a Jake comes my way he’s eating lead!
