Sounds nice, Charlie.
My drilling is 16 by 16, over 9.3x72 R. Lightweight & easy to carry - a great little gun (with cool engraving too). |

i had a hammer drilling in the 16x16 x9.3 72r...the 9.3 x72r is a great round plenty of power for most anything....these guns are a work of art... i seen one drilling that had 5 rear sites sure enough complicated to choose which one to use....i really like drillings andthere counter part the combination gun....but the 4 barrel version most of time is not to my liking..... charlie

My favorite driller is an exposed hammer, side lever Sauer in 16X16X11.15X65. A 2 1/2" .410 is a perfect fit in the rifle barrel. It is nice to have three shotshells at your disposal. It is a nice light little thing and in remarkable condition for its age. The .43 caliber rifle barrel is a great choice for whitetails or pigs. With two slugs in the shot barrels, life is good.

It is 11.15X65. I don't know what to load in it, but I am not going to try to find real brass. I will use .410 brass with the bullets lightly crimped. As long as the bullet is bigger than the rifling, they won't gravitate up the bore when the shot barrels are fired. I can't imagine a more useful driller for the $300.00 I paid for it. I am not looking for another.
