My go to deer getter is an early Remington 760 carbine in 280 with 140 grain nosler partitions. Bagged a nice bull moose a few years ago with it with 180s in New Hampshire.

Harry and I just won a zebra hunt in Namibia from the Dallas Safari Club. Mills doesn't want to go and Julia is like B A Baracus and hates flying.

For me, a Model 1884 trapdoor Springfield carbine, made in 1887. 45-70 government. With 300 grain hand loads from our associate pastor, a real gun guy, it’s a pleasure to shoot and great fun to think of the history behind it.
