Rick if you want to shoot come shoot with us at nearby Drakes Landing. We will shoot there in the mornings then go to Deep River and look at guns. It's a great place to shoot no waiting in lines with two 100 bird sporting clays courses. A lot less expensive also.

Hey thank you for the offer. I will definitely consider this. I assume Drakes is close?

yes it is and it's a great place to shoot. There will be shooters there from Parker, Fox and LC Smith.

If you are attending the southern, then shoot the southern and support the event/venue.

I drive 13 hours to get there and I'm not about to stand in line station after station and pay $1 a target or wait all day to shoot one round of five stand. For me the Southern is a gun show pure and simple. Over 4 days I can easily shoot 500 targets at Drakes for far less than three rounds at Deep River.

I'm sorry Brian but I have to disagree, I shot the Southern for many years, same targets, long, long lines, we got tried of it and went to Drakes great targets two courses super nice people...... What is not to like, we spend many hours at the Southern in the vendors tent. But I'm sorry I don't want to shoot similar targets and wait forever when I can shoot to great courses and still support the Southern in the vendors tents. Which is where Bill makes his some or most of his money. So let's agree to disagree. Eric

$1 a target is standard cost for pretty much any of these SxS specific events.

Keavin, I’ll be heading down with a buddy. He’s from the Lancaster area, I’m from NEPA. Other guys from my area and from the Berks Co area will be there too. We arrive Tuesday afternoon. Shooting the Challenge events plus 12 or 13 events on the course.
