Craig,You implied that the VHE was less money.I would buy it and shoot it.You are not going to hurt the value by shooting the gun as long as you use reasonable care.Enjoy it and when the time comes for you or your heirs to sell it,a higher condition gun will sell faster and for relatively more money.

I shot my very near mint VHE skeet configured 20, modified and full, the other day, and got many comments on its condition from my fellow shooters. When shooting graded guns in field worn condition, not so much. I will always recommend buying both, if they are great guns.

Finding a near mint VHE 20 is a difficult task. Buying a well worn DHE 20 only requires money and time. With the conditions set forth, I want the VHE 20.

Boy, you've started some good threads lately. Obviously on this one you did not give us information enough to advise you (not that we really had any useful advice anyway). You probably already know what you want when you buy another gun. The responses demonstrate that there is indeed a wide variety of folks who cherish, buy and use Parkers (notice I did not say collectors). Both guns sound like possible gems, but not for the same reasons.
So, buy the V grade and send me the information on the D grade. We'll both be happy then.

I would buy the VHE due to condition but I would shoot it and added that I have and use a high condition DHE 30 inch vent rib gun and a GH Damascus 20 with 30 inch tubes the VHE would fit nicely with the other two.

It's not a choice I need to make I was just posing a what if question to see what others would do. I'm always interested in how others think. Thanks all for such interesting perspective.
