google "fewless skeleton buttplate" and you will get pictures and forum discussions about Glenn's buttplate project. Ken Hurst restored and engraved the skeleton buttplate on my 34" DH pigeon gun. It is a maximum effort on a buttplate that anyone would have given up on, but Ken took it on and succeeded.

Ken Hurst will do a good job engraving your buttplate, he's reasonable too.

Ken Hurst restored and engraved the buttplate on the "Gold Hearts" gun. This buttplate is pictured in a PP article on the gun. This buttplate was a rusted and pitted mess when Ken received it.

Ivory beads has a DHE 16 with original SBP no-1 frame....2300.00 is a O.K. gun but has had 2" removed at the muzzle...I think its a good price for a shooter,...keep the plate and resell the gun....Thanks all SXS ohio....(-:

This is probably old news by now, but there are 4 original skeleton buttplates listed on a site " Mc Kune's Sporting Collectables " There are 3 sizes that range fron $200.00 to $275.oo Appear to be D drades with no screws.
