Mr. Carmichael attended and competed at the Fall Side by Side at Backwoods and I had the honor of meeting him there. When he was with Outdoor Life I couldn't wait for my next issue to come in the mail to read his article of the month.

Looking forward to seeing everyone. Please keep in mind that Bill Kempffer provides our tent at no cost to us. It is ok to display guns, it is ok to sell if you get an offer you can't refuse, but please do not put for sale signs on items, as it competes with Bill's vendors who are paying for space. Thank you!

Team Elsie beat Team Parker. There was a lot of good shooting and fun though. John Truitt took high gun by 7 points. A PGCA member won the LC Smith raffle gun too

The 8g event was great! I had no idea that guns and shells would be supplied to anyone who wanted to shoot in it. The cost of admission was well worth the opportunity to shoot some of these great guns.

A big thank you to all of those who volonteered the use of their guns as well as provided shells!

Yes a big thanks to the folks who loaned us 8 gauge guns.
Eric Eis loaned me his fabulous 8 gauge DH to shoot and it got me into the shoot off. Unfortunately I didn't get to shoot it in the shoot off and didn't win.
I am sure Mills will give a complete report.
A special thanks to Charlie Cleveland who made me up some 8 gauge loads to practice with at home. That made the difference - being able to practice swinging a fence post while discharging lead at a moving target. way different than shooting a turkey from a stool!!!!
Thanks Eric and Charlie.
