Default Dog Faces on floorplates

I was looking through the album section to pass the time and saw this fine BH.

Was curious how often/common are the dog faces like that on the floor plate and what grades?

Would love to see similar examples as I believe it is gorgeous work.

I don't recall seeing it in TPS.

Thanks that is my BHE. Not exactly sure of the breed but thinking a spaniel. This gun is on the front cover of the serialization book. Not bad for a Fox guy!!!

Bill, I believe they are most common on the AHE grade. Also it was a common pattern on the bottom of the A1S grade reproduction guns. If you peruse the pages of the following links, I think you will find some examples.

Anyone interested in commissioning a custom or upgrade with game scenes or dogs should take a look at Geoffroy Gournet's work on his website: www.gournetusa.com.

That first example looks an awful lot like an American Water Spaniel.
