Sam, you needed not have worried, the black and white would have turned brown without much help and you would have had better contrast to start with. The Britts do em brown, the Americans do em B/W.

I have a CD some one made for a old 8MM of workers in Belgium making Damascus barrels. It's very interesting - there are two guys in wooden shoes, one with a big hammer and the other with a small hammer. Not hard to guess who the master was [ small hammer].

I just watched the cd. I had bought it at one of the silent auctions. It is amazing how they made them so consistent.
