It appears there is a direct relationship between health and on-time delivery of the PP.
Exactly two years ago, my daughter rushed me to the emergency room with a ruptured colon. They admitted me for a five day stay and every day I hoped my wife would bring it to me as boredom was abundant.
This year, I knew two weeks in advance of my date with the surgery they did yesterday. The same date I found out when I was to report to the hospital, the first people were getting their copy of the maga zine, so I figured, surely this time I'll have something to read. No such luck. My wife stuck the new Shooting sportsman in my bag. And George, I think I was a contributor too. The bad news; no more prostate AND no Parker Pages. The good news; no more prostate cancer.

I guess I'm a victim of the holiday Fedex/UPS mess. My wife got home last night to find the Fedex man on the doorstep with an envelope from our thoughtful Editor. Thank You Dean.

Edgar, you sound to be in pretty good spirits considerin' the doc removed the base of your brain.

All kidding aside - We're all glad you made it through. Hope you enjoy your new issue and it relieves most of the boredom.

I am ever amazed at your depth of knowledge in irons, steels, alloys, foundry processes, and such. I hope you've still got plenty to write about for future issues.

Best, Dean

I'm so glad things went well Egger. Just let me know when you need that cup of coffee and I will be on my way....

Dave, you might want to consider something more "medicinal" this time.

Thank you Larry. The drugs may have contributed to the 'good spitits'.
I know better, but I'd like to blame our governor for the lousy mail service.

Dean, You're a pissah! Thanks for the kind words. Everytime I speak with Stosh I have to tell him he's wrong, and that you really are a good guy.

Daryl, Ain't it just amazing our Editor can produce such work with diminished capacity. No worries re: Baltimore, I'll be there if I have to walk.

Dave's a pretty good 'Candy Striper'. Last time I was in recovery mode, he and Danny drove up and delivered a hot cup from the local DD. For a long time I chocked it up to him wanting to check out what might become available in case I died, but this time he offered even after I told him I was likely to survive. However, I have warned Julie to keep an eye on him.

Seriously, thanks to everyone who gave me encouragement, especially Gary Carmichael. He was wise not to tell me the cure was as big a pain as the problem. Mr. JD keeps me entertained when everything seems dull. PGCA guys are a special bunch!
