They are beautiful ducks for sure. Hard to believe they got close to extinction a century ago. Now people around here almost take them for granted. I almost decided to get this one mounted so my son could have the first duck from his first hunt. Then I thought it might be better to get a good recipe and let him eat it.

Mills did you break it and then have to tape it back together.

It had a repair that came loose. The stock there is busted into several pieces and was held together by epoxy. I had it up at Darlington Gun Works for 2 years and they determined it needed a new stock. Well, I got tired of it sitting up there and decided to get it back and shoot it a little. May get a second opinion, as the wood on the stock is beautiful, but I am pretty sure they were right.
